KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDER or KOLKATA NIGHTMARE?

Yesterday's defeat at the hands of spirited Rajasthan Royal has brought forth some pertinent questions:
First, whose decision it was to select Ajantha Mendis as the bowler in the Super Over, when the batsman to face was none other than murderous Yosuf Pathan and score (15) to defend was not too big? If it was Jhon's, then I must say he is a flop strategist, because gripping the ball for a spinner was difficult under the lights due to dew factor. Saurav Ganguly would have been the ideal choice, because he bowls wicket to wicket with gentle pace and with rare short pitched deliveries.
Secondly, why Macculum was sent along with Gayl when he was not in his best form? Here also, Dada would have been a better choice, because he was batting so well and the momentum was still with him rather than the captain who was off the field for long.
Jhon Buchanon, who boasts of himself as a great tactician and theorist, has failed miserably when it mattered most.
Look at the Rajasthan Royal. They do not need any Laptop-laden coach, support staff or self-styled strategist. Shane Warne is the man who makes the decision on the field and that works.
But the biggest question is, why Sha Rukh Khan is not able to understand that Buchanon & Co. cannot win matches off the field. His greatest blunder was to remove Saurav Ganguly from captaincy. That too after a lot of filmy drama. The Royal Challengers and Deccan Chargers also changed their captains , but did not make any fuss. SRK could have done the same at least two months back. Instead, he preferred to play his cards close to his chest and declared Macuulum as the KKR captain barely a day before the IPL-2 started. As if that was not enough, he even told to media that KKR without Dada at the helm was unimginable.
Now the last question, why did SRK behave like this? If I'm not wrong, one has to go back to the latter part of IPL-1. There was a stand-off between the-then captain Ganguly and the owner SRK obviously due to string of defeats in few matches which costed KKR a semi-final berth.
So, in IPL-2, the cunning owner of KKR tried his best to disguise his ploy to undermine Dada in this manner with the help of his paid staffs (Read Buchanon & Co.). While, I'm not sure whether SRK would dare to do this, if IPL-2 was to be held in India, one thing is clear that his fan -following will have a serious dent among the Indians in general and Kolkatans in particular. Of course, these days SRK is spending lot of good words for Dada to woo the Ganguly fans, but how far it will work, is any body's guess. Already, the Kolkata Knight Rider has become Kolkata's Nightmare.
